Exciting Stuff:
Last night Daniel and I went to Jared’s so we can see the casting. (Right now my rings are blue wax with prongs.) The lady helping us was over excited on our design we created. She was like “this is beautiful, did you design this?” Dan and I were like yea kind of. I told her that I am using my grandmother’s stones. She thought that was like the beezneez. She was so excited she showed another lady our casting (remember these rings are currently blue, wax, circles with prongs) to show her our design. At first she was all like, yes thats nice. Then she asked what shape was the diamond. I said oh i am not using a diamond, its a smokey topaz. *My grandmother promised me at the age of 5 that when she passed away i could have her smokey topaz. She passed away in September. My mom was left her wedding set. It was very simple small diamonds, nothing to big, which is exactly what i want. So she let me have them so I could use the diamonds in my ring. We did have to end up buying 3 more diamonds to complete my look.* Anyway back to Jared’s. The lady freaked. She went on this big shpill about how its not going to hold up like a diamond. To make sure i dont swim, sit in hot tubs, do atheletic events, take it off while i sleep, shower yada yada yada. At first i thought she was being nice but then she just kept saying how its not going to hold like a diamond to the point i was like yea i dont really wear jewlery, i always take anything and everything off when i am doing some form of activity! Then she asked if my wedding band was diamonds and I said yes that is a channeling of diamonds she was like oh good, at least you can wear that all the time. I guess the lady that was actually helping us could see my face because she jumped in and said “it was her grandmother’s stones, how cool is that?” The angry lady smiled and walked off. So this was the last time I got to know anything about my rings. The next time I see my ring its going to be compeletly made, in a box, with Daniel on his knee. AHHH exciting stuff!
